Changes at CCB, Inc. Construction Service

CCB, Inc. of Westbrook , Maine has announced that Beth L. Sturtevant of North Yarmouth and Donald W. Raye of Norway have completed the purchase of the company. CCB, Inc., a Westbrook, Maine based construction firm also has offices in Old Town, Maine, Madison, New Hampshire and Wilmington, Massachusetts. In the acquisition of the 60 year old company, Ms. Sturtevant has become President and principal owner with Mr. Raye becoming Vice President of Finance and owner.

 

Ms. Sturtevant joined CCB, Inc. in 1982 as a field accountant/engineer and became a Project Manager in 1985. In 1993, she was promoted to Vice President of Operations when she and then-President Donald E. Starr purchased the company from H. E. Sargent of Stillwater Maine .

 

Mr. Raye joined CCB, Inc. in 2002 with an extensive background in finances and construction which included 16 years as a partner in the accounting firm of Houde, Boucher, Perkins & Raye specializing in construction accounting and taxes, and 11 years as Vice President of Finance for Bancroft Contracting.

 

The new owners will continue to train both its management and craft personnel in order to maintain CCB's high standard of quality and customer service, a philosophy Mr. Starr helped to create and nurture during his 36 plus years with the company.

 

Donald Starr has stepped down from his role as President, but will continue with the company in the role of Senior Advisor through to his retirement in 2006. Mr. Starr joined CCB, Inc. when it was known as Consolidated Constructors and Builders in 1968 and worked through the ranks to become President in 1988 and owner in 1993. Mr. Starr is a Past President of ACM and will continue his involvement with the ACM Board of Directors as well as AGC of Massachusetts.

 

CCB, Inc. is a Self-performing General Contractor which has been providing New England with commercial, industrial and specialty construction services since 1945. With this ownership change CCB, Inc. also becomes a Woman Owned Business Enterprise.
